Onerahi Cricket Club Kensington is on the verge of becoming the biggest club in Northland catering for both junior and senior players. We pride ourselves on being a family club and welcoming to all.
Our home ground is based in at Kensington park and offers us excellent practice facilities along with a very good grass wicket.
Onerahi Cricket Club Kensington has had numerous first class and international wear the shirt. These players include Brendon Bracewell, Dion Nash, Brian Dunning, Barry Cooper, Matthew Bell, Aaron Bradley, Chris Cairns, Lance Cairns, Ross McPherson, Dean Potter, Cliff Dickeson, John Mcleod.
Recent years has seen the club make massive strides in junior cricket, and sees the club now have sides at all junior levels and numerous juniors going on to represent Northland at various age groups, the club have been lucky to have the services of Dean Potter, Warren Parr and Sam Walker to help foster the growth seen in junior cricket.
Onerahi Central Cricket Club Kensington can cater for all ages and abilities – 4 years to any age, we can find a team for you within the junior and senior sectors of the club.
The junior sides are split into different grades. Starting with Supersmash Fun (C Grade) moving up to 1st division. As a player develops and gets older, they transition through the grades, most of our teams are mixed throughout the Supersmash Fun (C Grade), Supersmash Play (B Grade), Supersmash (A Grade) and 1st division grades although we do currently have an all-girls side in Supersmash Play.
At senior Level we have teams in both the premier and reserve competitions.
