NORTHLAND CRICKET ASSOCIATION

The Northland Cricket Association based in Whangarei was established in 1927 and for the past 97 years has administered cricket in the area from Warkworth to Kaitaia.
Covering some 300km, From Kaitaia to Warkworth it is one of the largest associations in New Zealand. Premier Clubs include… Kaipara Flats, Maungakaramea, City, Onerahi Central, Kamo, Tikipunga and Kensington.
Northland is one of the six District Associations under the Northern Districts Cricket association, which is one of the six major associations affiliated to New Zealand Cricket.

NORTHLAND CRICKET ASSOCIATION

Almost 2000 players are registered, mostly at junior level, and Northland provides an ideal training ground for cricketers by supporting 11 representative teams and development squads across all age groups for men and women.
Currently Northland player Tim Southee is contracted to New Zealand Cricket. In all 21 Northland Players have represented New Zealand.
Northland Cricket is based at Cobham Oval in Whangarei, a ground newly developed to New Zealand Crickets International playing standard.
Cobham Oval incorporates a modern all-weather coaching facility with the Johnston and Crawford Cricket Centre, and high quality outdoor coaching and practice facilities.
The ground’s pavilion is a signature building modelled on the famous Lords Pavilion at the home of Cricket in London.
We are now lucky to have the Players Pavilion adjacent to the Plus Pavilion.
